DR GARY SALIBA

Guiding the transformation of personal “operating systems”, beliefs, values and world views, enabling decision-makers to perceive their environments differently, catalysing new thinking and enhancing decision-making.
Gary trained in applied mathematics and has a doctorate in astrophysics. He worked as an astrophysicist with the governments of Australia and the USA before moving into public administration.
While employed by the Department of Defence and the Australian Taxation Office, Gary spearheaded a number of major change initiatives. At this time he developed expertise in foresight work, strategy development, systems thinking and computer simulation modelling. This work culminated in a book; “Strategic Planning: An Outcomes Approach” He and his team were awarded a Federal Government innovation award for developing a systems thinking based simulation model for Human Resource Planning. His work was featured on the ABC television program “Open Learning”.
Gary’s extensive experience in major organisational change initiatives empowers decision-makers to challenge their belief systems about their business landscapes and their organisations. This allows people to think differently, view the world with fresh perspectives and make decisions in a much broader context. A certified neuro-behavioural modeller, Gary also assists individuals and groups explore and value the use of unconscious processes to achieve extraordinary results. The insights gained enable people to reach their peak performance.
For the past 13 years Gary has developed and delivered courses on systems thinking, strategy, foresight work and complexity to senior public servants and visiting international government delegations through the Australian National University’s Crawford School of Economics and Government. Gary is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Fellow of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation.
